VP Digital Strategy-PR Agency

Our client is a prestigious PR firm in NYC dedicated to the Financial sector:

The Agency is seeking a VP Digital Strategy to join our growing digital marketing team. This person will serve as a key consultant for our clients, keeping them up to date on the latest trends in the space and developing big ideas that can help them build their brands, shape their online narrative, and connect with target audiences through paid, owned and earned channels. This person will be responsible for developing and executing social media programs that integrate into overall PR campaigns and content strategies.

This person will be an integral part of The Agency’s digital team, supporting current clients’ digital efforts, selling in new digital programs to prospects and current clients, and developing junior team members.

Required Skill Set

• Understanding of how to create integrated digital campaigns into broader PR programs as well as stand-alone digital campaigns for clients
• Familiarity and experience in a wide range of digital tactics including measurement and analytics, organic and paid social media, PPC and digital display advertising, email marketing, digital reputation management, and influencer partnerships
• A track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities as well as achieving organic growth from an existing client base
• The ability to “see around corners” by staying on top of emerging trends and sharing those trends in a variety of ways inside and outside the firm
• A good and dynamic communicator who can articulate the capabilities and services of the digital practice across the firm and with existing and potential clients
• A proven executor who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get into the weeds with clients and the team
• The demonstrated ability to manage 2-3 direct reports while delivering flawless client service on multiple accounts
• An entrepreneurial-minded yet collaborative and collegial individual that will fit well in The Agency’s fast-paced, affable and energetic culture

Professional Background

• 10+ years of digital marketing experience; 7 years managing client relationships
• Experience leading a digital practice at a traditional communications agency strongly preferred
• Experience servicing financial, corporate or B2B accounts strongly preferred
• Extensive experience leveraging social media to drive ROI
• Strong experience with Google Analytics, Spredfast, Buzzsumo, Trendkite and/or other measurement tools
